Love, Tears & Ocean Views | Papa Kona Wedding on the Big Island of Hawaii

Before Mya and Gary’s wedding day, Mya and I shared a heartfelt phone conversation. What began as a discussion about the vision for her wedding beautifully transformed into a deep and meaningful talk about life, love, and the beauty it holds. We spoke for so long that we drifted from wedding details to life's bigger picture. At one point, Mya was brought to tears as I reassured her how important her wedding was—not just to her, but to me as her photographer. I promised her that I would capture it all with intention, care, and love, and that I would do everything I could to help bring her dream wedding to life.

The day finally arrived. Mya and Gary’s wedding took place at the stunning Papa Kona Restaurant & Bar on the Big Island of Hawaii. From the moment I stepped onto the venue grounds, I was in awe. The ocean view where the ceremony was held was absolutely breathtaking. Every detail from the elegant tablescapes and vibrant florals to the thoughtfully placed books, cups, and signs—was picture-perfect. As a Hawaii wedding photographer, I found myself deeply inspired, capturing every meaningful moment with passion.

When the ceremony began, the love in the air was palpable. Emotions flowed freely, and the joy was contagious. The heartfelt words shared during the ceremony, beautifully led by Reverend Eleanor Fong, brought tears to many—including myself. When Mya and Gary said, “I do,” the entire room erupted in cheers, celebrating the start of their new life together.

Congratulations, Mya and Gary! Your Big Island wedding was not just a celebration of love—it was a reminder of the deep human connection that brings us all together. I feel honored to have been part of such a magical day.
