April and Mick’s Candid & Joyful Hawaii Wedding at Kapolei Golf Club

I had such a great time photographing April and Mick’s wedding at Kapolei Golf Club here on Oahu, Hawaii. Their wedding day was filled with so much love, good energy, and genuine moments surrounded by family and friends celebrating them.

One of my favorite parts of the ceremony was hearing the bride’s sister play the violin. It added such a beautiful and emotional touch to the ceremony and made everything feel even more personal.

There were also so many funny moments throughout the day like during the unity ceremony when the groom’s son kept trying over and over to light the candle while his dad kept teasing him about it. Everyone was laughing, and honestly, those are the moments that make weddings feel so real and memorable. Not overly perfect, just authentic and full of personality.

The reception was just as special and filled with so many laughs, dancing, and unforgettable moments. One of the highlights of the night was hearing a young girl sing such a beautiful song during the reception. It was such a heartfelt moment and you could really feel the love and support from everyone there.

The floral and arch setup from Your Story Events Hawaii looked amazing and fit perfectly with the tropical Hawaii wedding vibe. And the energy from HTE Hawaii Total Events kept the celebration going all night long.

As an Oahu wedding photographer, I’m always grateful to capture weddings like this at Kapolei Golf Club — real moments, candid emotions, and all the little in-between memories that make a Hawaii wedding so special.
